Mr. Namgya Sherpa climbs Mt. Everest

As per the press release issued by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Mr. Namgya Sherpa, High Altitude Worker of Friendship Mt. Everest Expedition 2008 has successfully scaled 8848 meter hight Mt. Everest on May 20, 2008. The 10 members Friendship Mt. Everest Expedition 2008 team was permitted to climbe Mt. Everest from normal route for the period of 75 days from March 31, 2008 under the leadership of Ms. Kalpana Das of India. The handling agency of the expedtion team is Arun Treks and Expedition Pvt Ltd. Kathmandu, Nepal
